2015 Golden Globes Nominations Go To ‘Birdman’, ‘Boyhood’, ‘The Imitation Game’

This year, Birdman led the list of motion picture nominations with 7, followed by Boyhood and The Imitation Game at 5 each. On the TV side, Fargo got 5 nominations while True Detective scored 4. Read the full list after the jump.
In the motion picture acting categories, the Golden Globes nominations lined up pretty closely with yesterday’s SAG Awards nominations. In fact, the only SAG nominee not to also snag a corresponding Golden Globe nod was Naomi Watts (St. Vincent).
That also means Jennifer Aniston (Cake) has now emerged as a dark horse in the Best Actress race, and that Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) seems like less of a long shot for the Oscar than he used to. The Golden Globes also made room for Selma and Pride. However, Unbroken once again got completely shut out.
As for the television categories, it’s great to see newbies Transparent and Jane the Virgin get recognition. Meanwhile, perennial Emmy faves Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory got nothing. Surprisingly, so did last year’s big winner in the comedy category, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
