‘Friday The 13th’ Reboot Loses ‘V/H/S’ Director, Gains ‘Prisoners’ Writer By Angie Han/Dec. 3, 2015 3:30 pm EST Once upon a time, Paramount had ambitions of opening a new Friday the 13th reboot in spring 2015. When that didn’t work out, they decided to release the film in fall 2015 instead. Fall 2015 became summer 2016, and then early 2017. A less persistent person (or studio, rather) might have given up by now, but not Paramount....

And it has everything you’d hope for: violence and battles and sex and dragons and mythical ice monsters and skinned men being burnt before giant crowds and shots of Jorah Mormont looking very sad and shots of Tyrion Lannister looking very despondent and, you know, everything else....

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Footage: Finn Readies His Lightsaber By Russ Fischer/Aug. 27, 2015 10:23 am EST Here’s a bit of new Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage, and despite being brief in length there’s a powerful sight here. Finn, played by John Boyega, ignites his lightsaber as he stands in what appears to be the same forest in which we’ve seen Kylo Ren readying for battle. ‘The Gambler’ First Look: Mark Wahlberg Gets Into Trouble By Russ Fischer/Oct. 7, 2014 1:45 pm EST The remake of The Gambler, directed by Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) was controversial early on, as original screenwriter James Toback was frankly critical of the idea of remaking the film he had based largely on his own experiences.
